Sweet Home Yerushalayim

BS”D

The title of this post contains my suggested improvement to the lyrics…

Sweet Home Jerusalem by Rabbi Lazer Brody

Our continued love of Jerusalem, the undivided capital of the Jewish people, is our answer to murderous terrorists. Definition of a terrorism: The targeting of innocent non-combatants for political aims. Some people accuse Israel of this, when collateral damage to innocent non-combatants occurs in the act of Israeli self-defense against Arab terrorism. Don’t buy the lie. There is no moral equivalence between Israel and those who desire to destroy Israel. The Mumbai murders bear this out clearly.

Women in Green has suggested yet another response, and I concur:

Excerpt:

Response: Build!
Women In Green added that the appropriate response to Islamic terrorism and the government’s policies is “to show the terrorists that the People [of Israel] will not be scared off and will continue to be proud Jews in the Land of Israel, will continue to settle it, build in it and expand in it.”

The non-governmental organization called on Israelis to join the people defending the rights of Jews to live in the Peace House in Hevron, where Israeli authorities intend to forcibly evict the building’s residents despite the absence of any legal resolution mandating their removal.”

Yet another response for all who are able, is to help the victims families. This is one of the most important responses to terror and tragedy among our people. What good is our own country if we don’t take care of her widows and orphans? I will update these links as more come to my attention:

I can’t say it better than this:

“Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg HY”D, the beloved directors of Chabad-Lubavitch of Mumbai, were R”L killed during one of the worst terrorist attacks to strike India in recent memory. According to security services, the Chabad House was a pre-selected target.” Quoted directly from Yeshiva World News

You Decide

A Gaza family in Beit Hanoun was killed on Monday as part of an effort by the IDF to stop the barrage of Kassam rockets daily launched into Israel from terrorists in the Gaza Strip. I give you two points of view on this tragedy.

Steve Amsel claims Israel is playing “blame the victim”…

IDF:Exploding Terrorists Brought Down Gaza Family’s House

These leftist, anarchist, communist types (most Jewish antisemites fit this description) like to portray the battle as being waged between “little teeny Gaza” as a victim of “HUGE Israel”. The truth of the matter is, the Muslim/Arab world (1.5 billion people) is at war with Israel (5.5 million who are Jewish). Those are the demographic facts.

The tools of their warfare consist of a relentless PR campaign, or terrorists, who they send to the West Bank and Gaza. These terrorists families (local or not) are promised stipends if their men are killed doing their dirty work.

I continue to present this map to the readers, because this map (any map of the Muslim world) represents geographic facts. Israel is the size of New Jersey. Keeping that in mind, take a good look at the Arab/Muslim world. This map doesn’t even include all Muslim countries.

Little teeny Israel is fighting a giant; the Muslim world. Most of these people, by virtue of the system we know as Islam, (it is so much more than just a religion) are not reasonable when it comes to “the Jews”. Islam prohibits Muslims from making any sort of lasting comittment to anyone they consider an “infidel”. The Jewish people are at the top of the “infidel” list, with Christians following as a close second.

Finally, I leave you with another gem of a website: Islam 4 Israel.

Western Wall “Too Controversial” for Bush Visit

12/04/2008 · 1 Comment

The Western Wall has been deemed too controversial a place for US President George W. Bush to visit. He is reportedly considering Masada instead – where Jewish resisters to Roman occupation committed mass suicide in the first century rather than live under Roman slavery.

Bush will be visiting Israel as part of Israel’s 60th Independence Day celebrations. His visit will be 60 hours long. In addition to addressing the Knesset, Bush is reportedly searching for a symbolic location to visit, with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as his tour guide.

According to one report, the Golan Heights, the Cave of Machpela in Hebron along with the Western Wall were all considered “too controversial” and rejected for the Bush itinerary.

The Bushes also want to connect with the Biblical prophecy of the ingathering of the exiles first-hand. White House staffers report that the Bushes are looking to meet with recent olim (Jewish immigrants to Israel) during the visit.

Bush will not be visiting Palestinian Authority-controlled areas or meeting with PA officials during his visit to Israel, but will hold a meeting with Fatah chief and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in Egypt afterward.

UNBELIEVABLE!

In his most provocative anti-US speech to date, Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad brazenly questioned whether al Qaeda’s Sept. 11, 2001 attack on New York actually took place in an address marking Iran’s Nuclear Technology day, April 8. He went on to ask why the US had never released the names of the thousands of dead in the Trade Center attacks and how the most advanced security, intelligence and tracking devices in the world had failed to detect the hijackers’ planes before they struck the two New York towers. [Apparently Ahmadinejad didn’t read the papers on that memorable day when the names of all the victims were printed and beamed around the world.Ahmadinejad is famous also for denying the Nazi Holocaust.

Announcing earlier that Iran had begun installing 6,000 new advanced (P2) centrifuges for uranium enrichment at Natanz, the Iranian president claimed his country’s nuclear program had passed the point of no-return technologically and politically. According to Ahmadinejad, America is disintegrating politically, militarily and economincally and therefore, Iran’s nuclear achievement will change the international order of power that has been in place since world War II.

By going full steam ahead with uranium enrichment, Iran is flouting three UN Security Council resolutions and standing fast against threats, sanctions and incentives offered by the West to halt a process capable of producing nuclear weapons.

Instead, Tehran is installing a new generation of advanced P2 centrifuges to replace the older P-1 machines and accelerate enrichment. He claims they are five times cheaper than the commercial machines.

Hamas TV: Child Kills Bush, White House a Mosque

02/04/2008 · Leave a Comment

bs”d

In the continuing saga of disgusting and violent children’s programming on Hamas Television, the newest program has a Palestinian child stabbing President Bush to death and turning the White House into a huge mosque.

In the Al-Aqsa TV skit, aired yesterday, the child confronts the US leader: “I have come to

The Bush character tries to appease the child with food, toys and a visit to the White House but is rebuffed, as seen in a video clip translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI.

“You are impure, Bush, so you are not allowed inside the White House,” the child figure says, because “it has been turned into a great mosque for the nation of Islam.”

The child declares: “I will kill you just like Mu’az killed Abu Lahab (an enemy of Islam’s prophet Muhammad). I will kill you, Bush, because that is your fate.”
The child then stabs Bush repeatedly, and eventually smiles at his successful execution: “Ahhh, I killed him.”

On previous al-Aksa kid’s shows, various animals — a bee, a mouse, a rabbit — have advocated or performed killing, but this marks the first time a child is portrayed as the murderer. There can be no doubt that this was broadcast yesterday in a direct affront to the presence of Secretary Rice in Israel.

Pre-school kids who have been previously interviewed, approve of the killing of Jews as a commandment of Allah. take revenge with this sword — revenge for my mother and my sisters. You are a criminal, Bush! You are despicable. You made me an orphan! You took everything from me, Bush! I must take revenge on you, with this sword of Islam, the prophet’s Al-Battar sword.”

Qassams Keep Falling, Israel Confronts UN

27/03/2008 · 1 Comment

bs”d

Six Qassam rockets were launched at Israel late this morning by Hamas terrorists who claim to have accepted a “cease-fire.”  Thankfully no one has been injured in today’s attacks though there was damage inflicted on several buildings.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Gillerman, told the Security Council last night that the apparent lull in Hamas rocket attacks is only superficial, because the bombs keep ticking, albeit quietly, while Hamas is using this time to smuggle in and produce more rockets.

“During the last month, Hamas fired more than 300 rockets at Israel, at least 23 of them Iranian-made Grad missiles that hit the city of Ashkelon,” Gillerman said.  “The rocket attacks marked an escalation of violence not just in number, but also in weaponry. Grad rockets – smuggled into the Gaza Strip from Iran during the breach of the Gaza border this January – have greater range, larger warheads, and fragment on impact. Hamas’ new weapon of choice means that a quarter of a million Israeli civilians now live in constant danger of rocket fire. We can all thank Iran for adding another weapon to the Hamas arsenal, in addition to its already heinous suicide attacks and deadly Kassam rockets. [Hamas also] continued to wreak havoc and daily terror on the people of Sderot – a small but resilient city of 23,000, where children no longer run around on playgrounds; they now run to bomb shelters. Such is the reality in Sderot, where 15 seconds is all you have to find safety before a Kassam rocket comes crashing down.”

“I am sure that many in this Council watched with horror and disgust as Hamas terrorists joyfully fired their rifles into the air [after the Merkaz HaRav slaughter] and passed out candy to children in celebration. If anyone doubted what the extremists stand for, the reaction in Gaza to the murder of eight Israeli boys sets the record straight. It was also a stark reminder that these were the same people who danced on the rooftops after 9/11.

“Which is why, Mr. President, it was so sad and disturbing that the Council could not condemn the terrorist attack. The Security Council has a longstanding practice of condemning terrorism, no matter the victims, no matter the location, no matter the perpetrator, no matter the motivation. Yet the Council could not unanimously condemn this terrorist attack and intentional killing of civilians, for the Council was blocked by a politicized opposition, of one Member State [Libya - ed.] in particular.

“Lately, a particularly worrisome trend has been apparent when it comes to the discourse concerning our region,” Gillerman continued. “Some have a penchant for equating the lawful actions of states in defense of their citizens with the violence of terrorists whose goal is to endanger those very civilians. The misguided tendency to accept the “status quo” of terrorism – as expressed even by some UN officials in their statements and reports – is simply unacceptable. Such parity, which is often in the name of an ill-conceived balance, undermines the strength and credibility of moderate states to bolster one another and isolate the extremists.”

Before concluding his speech to the Security Council, Gillerman also addressed the tensions on the northern border of Israel, noting that Hizbollah is violating the cease fire reached after the 2006 war in three areas:  weapons continue to flow illegally from Syria into Lebanon, Hizbollah is re-arming and has already increased more than tripled the arsenal it had in 2006 as its spokesmen openly brag, and Israeli soldiers Eldad Regev and Udi Goldwasser are still unaccounted for.

‘Rabbi Was the Target’

15/03/2008 · Leave a Comment

BS”D

According to a report in the Lebanese newspaper, al-Akhbar – the terrorist who attacked the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in Jerusalem last week had been told to assassinate one of the leading yeshiva rabbis.

The report, based on Palestinian sources, said that the terrorist was instructed to assassinate one of the leading yeshiva Rabbis but when he failed to find him, began killing students instead.

The newspaper also reported that the Israeli government has asked the Palestinian Authority to hand over two members of Islamic Jihad and Fatah’s al-Aqsa Brigades suspected of helping Abu Dheim obtain the weapon he used to fire at the students. Meanwhile, in a memorial service held this morning for the 8 students who were murdered, Shas Spiritual leader, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, told the assembled mourners, “The biggest revenge on the goyim is for them to see how much G-d loves the people of Israel.”

Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger said during the ceremony that “we hear calls that are not in line with the way we were brought up [referring to false reports that the rabbis had approved a revenge killing]. Underground organizations of any kind are unwarranted, according neither to the Halacha nor to any other worldview. The call should be aimed at the government and the prime minister, to do everything so that the killers and their friends are brought to justice, literally.”
