Pollard’s Attorney: Govt. is Hiding Dark Secrets

(IsraelNN.com) Jonathan Pollard’s attorney, Nitzana Darshan-Leitner, has slammed Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss’s report on Pollard. In a report released Thursday, Lindenstrauss said the United States may not have given Pollard a fair trial, and accused Israeli officials of poor coordination.

The report was “another cover-up of successive Israeli governments’ failures regarding Pollard,” said Darshan-Leitner. Pollard has exhausted his legal options in the U.S. and is relying on Israel for help, she said.

Israel’s government remains indifferent to his plight, she accused. “No government, at any time, has made any effort to free Pollard during his entire 24-year term in prison,” she said. “The government of Israel is still pretending that Pollard’s activities took place in an irregular operation run by Rafi Eitan, and were not coordinated by the highest state officials.”

The problem with evil is that often it is only shocking and obvious in hindsight. As a nation slides towards evil, and then begins to sink, ever so slowly, into evil it all looks so banal. So unremarkable. So…everyday. It is not for nothing that the comparisons between the proverbial “frog in the pot of water” is cited when describing the direction America is taking. We are all of us, asleep. Anesthetized. We don’t want to move out of our comfort zones.

Please, take stock of what is swirling around you. If it’s not on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC…it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.  What is happening? For that, it is important to listen to the following:

2009 Fiscal Year Supplemental Appropriates Bill has allocated $109 million towards builing and training the Palestinian Authority “security forces” (Fatah Army which will be loyal to Mahmoud Abbas.)

Congress is currently evaluating an Administrative request to direct another $100 million towards this Fatah Army in 2010.

According to Caroline Glick, General Jim Jones, who is Obama’s current security advisor, and was Condoleeza Rice’s special advisor on Arab Israeli issues, authored a report which recommended an assessment of Israel’s minimal security needs in relation to Judea & Samaria for the purposes of limiting support to Israel in fulfilling those necessary minimal interests. He rejected all Jewish claims to Judea and Samaria and was viewed as very hostile to the Jewish people.

Under Mitchell and Jones, according to a report in Yediot Acharonot, the US is building an apparatus designed to prevent Israel from exercising independent judgement about tactical  and strategic challenges, while denying Israel’s ability to secure her interests without US involvement and consent.

To quote Yehudah HaKohen: “US foreign agents will be stationed in Israel, will report to Jones & Mitchell, who will report to Obama.”  Furthermore, HaKohen notes that George Mitchell will be acting in this capacity, if not in name, as a foreign colonial governor.

Vicious International Games, Heartless International Players

Arutz Sheva’s Tamar Yonah, in a show entitled, Audio: An Iranian Speaks, recently Mr. Armen Saginian, an Iranian living in exile and author of several books and articles on Iran, Middle East issues, how the West and Islam plays into all the suffering in the region.

Below are some quotes from the show which shed some light on the current situation in Iran. It breaks my heart for the protesters, as it appears they’ve been set up, and are now suffering unimaginably.

“We have a nasty player in this whole game by the name of Zbigniew Brzezinski. That person planned the whole thing when they tried to force Shah to kill the young leftists or young free thinkers. Leftist is a misnomer. They were free thinkers. They didn’t have anything else to do except go towards left, and they were labeled as leftists. Shah refused to kill them. So they met, two persons met in Algiers, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski and Dr. Ibrahim Yazdi. They met in Algiers before the revolution in Iran started, this last revolution thirrity years ago…before Shah was disposed (sic).”

Right now we are again in that situation. However, please remember one thing. Inside Iran the main force that can effect a regime change in Iran has not engaged yet. And their reason for not engagement is basically one thing — not one thing, two things, combination of one thing: The lack of leadership and the lack of goals of where they want to go.”

“Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s speech Sunday evening at Bar-Ilan University had one goal: To get US President Barack Obama off of Israel’s back.

Netanyahu’s speech was an eloquent, rational and at times impassioned defense of Israel. For Israeli ears, after years of former prime minister Ehud Olmert’s and former foreign minister Tzipi Livni’s continuous assaults on Israeli rights, and their strident defenses of capitulation to the Palestinians and the Syrians, Netanyahu’s address was a breath of fresh air. But it is hard to see how it could have possibly had any lasting impact on Obama or his advisers.”

Why Not Invite Von Brunn to the White House?

Von Brunn is currently under arrest for his attack on the Holocaust Museum. But instead of keeping him in jail, why not invite Von Brunn to the White House?

Considering that Al Sharpton has visited repeatedly, Von Brunn should certainly be good enough for Obama. Considering that Obama has based his foreign policy on pursuing diplomatic relations with the likes of Ahmadinejad and the “moderate” Taliban, not to mention the Holocaust denying terrorist leader of the PA, Mahmoud Abbas– why can’t he pursue diplomatic relations with Von Brunn?

Von Brunn’s enthusiasm for Nazism shouldn’t get in the way. Not when Obama cultivates ties with the likes of Abbas and Ahmadinejad. And as for Von Brunn’s lone murder, that would be considered a slow day for Abbas or Sharpton.

Leading US Liberal Daily to Obama: Back Down on ‘Settlements’

(IsraelNN.com) The liberal-leaning Washington Post, often noted as reflecting U.S. policy, editorialized Sunday that U.S. President Barack Obama’s demand that Israel stop all building for Jews in Judea and Samaria may leave him without Israel as an ally and without Arab support. The daily traditionally has taken a harsh view of Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria.

“The problem is that no Israeli government — not Mr. Netanyahu’s, not even one led by the current opposition — is likely to agree to a total construction ban,” The Washington newspaper stated in its editorial. “By insisting on one, the administration risks bogging it down in a major dispute with its ally, while giving Arab governments and Palestinians a ready excuse not to make their own concessions.”

The paper also declared that Palestinian Authority negotiators have already conceded that large Jewish population centers in the PA will become part of Israel if and when a new PA state is created. No PA leader has made this statement in public, and President Obama’s declaration that “settlements are illegitimate” has strengthened confidence in the Arab world that all of the territorial demands in the 2002 Saudi Arabia Peace Plan will be met.

The Washington Post pointed out that former President Bill Clinton as well George W. Bush recognized the “facts on the ground” of a permanent Jewish presence in such cities as Maaleh Adumim. However, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton specifically said earlier this week that the Obama government does not recognize the personal promise by Bush on Israeli retention of the city as well as other areas.
