He sustained shrapnel injuries and was treated by Magen David Adom paramedics on the
scene, before being evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon.
At least ten more rockets were fired at Sderot and its vicinity later Thursday. One of the Qassams landed near an elementary school in town.
Meanwhile, at 3 p.m. today, Roni Yihye, who was killed in a Kassam rocket attack on the college yesterday, is due to be buried in Moshav Bit’ha, near Ofakim. The 47 year old was killed by shrapnel from a rocket that landed in the parking lot of the college.
Father of four children, he was a career soldier studying logistics at the college.
Buses to the funeral have been arranged from Sapir and lessons at the college were expected to be canceled to allow lecturers and students to attend.
May his memory be for a blessing and may his wife and children and all of his family be comforted with all the mourners in Zion and in Jerusalem.
